The Canada Goju Kincardine Dojo has a long and rich history. Opened in 1975, by the late Sensei Herb Hoenig, the dojo operated under Dennis Fry until 1988, when it passed to Kyoshi Steve Liddle. Kyoshi Steve operated the dojo until 2020, when he passed it to his senior student Sensei Holly Lang.

Instructors

Sensei Holly Lang began her training in 1994. She received her Yondan (4th degree) from the late Hanshi Bill Hind in November of 2020.  Knowing the impact karate has had on her own life, it is her goal to share the knowledge with other students and carry on the traditions of the many teachers that have gone
before us.

Kyoshi Steve Steve Liddle (7th dan) has been a student of Goju-Ryu Karate for more than 30 years. In 2012, he earned his 7th dan black belt from the late Hanshi Bill Hind, most senior Goju-Ryu practitioner in Canada. A lifelong student, Kyoshi Steve still continues to train and teach regularly at the Kincardine Dojo.
